In 1997, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Monterrey, Mexico produced a bi-lingual catalogue to accompany this major retrospective of José Bedia’s work. Charles Merewether curated the exhibition and Orlando Hernández and Judith Bettelheim contributed major essays. The catalogue contains 96 illustrations, arranged chronologically . In addition a separate smaller publication contains photographs of some of his major installations. Bettelheim’s essay is entitled “José Bedia Reflects on the Song of the Immigrant.”
